Description

The cashier's role is to ensure that each and every customer is served in a friendly, professional, and timely manner. This includes greeting customers as they enter the store, processing customer items through the POS system, and scooping ice cream. Our cashiers are usually the first face, and sometimes the only face the customer sees when at our store. This person will process customer transactions, resolve customer issues, and maintain their assigned register space, including the ice cream case.

 

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Record and scan customer items into the POS System, ensuring each and every transaction is fully and accurately entered.
• Perform accurate card and cash transactions through the POS System.
• Provide printed receipt to customer after each transaction.
• Refill receipt paper into receipt printer when necessary.
• Prep and serve all offered ice cream dishes and cones, including scoops and sundaes.
• Replace ice cream tubs in ice cream case when necessary.
• Consistently maintain a balanced drawer.
• Bag customer items in organized fashion.
• Keep the register station stocked with all necessary items.
• Keep register station clean and organized at all times.
• Identify customer issues/complaints and take necessary steps to correct them.
• Notify management of all customer and POS System issues.
• Perform other related duties as requested, which may include cleaning and stocking.

 

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum age: 16 years
• Previous experience: None
• Reliable transportation
• Able to Use Touch-Sensitive POS System
• Able to lift minimum of 20lb
