Description

The kitchen attendant's role is to prepare and package all cheese and bakery products, as well as maintain the kitchen space. This person will slice, bag/package, and label cheese items, as well as prepare bakery items, including waffle cones and brownies. This role is very key in presenting our customers with enticing products and aromas.

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain kitchen space, equipment, and personal sanitation.
  • Competency with cheese slicer, waffle cone maker, scale, measuring equipment, mixer, and oven.
  • Inspect raw material, and cheese and curd quality to ensure that standards and specifications are met prior to use or bagging/packaging.
  • Measure and mix baking ingredients according to correct specification for each item.
  • Bake each bakery item according to designated temperature and length of time.
  • Cool and store each bakery item accordingly.
  • Cleanse all bakeware and dishes using wash, rinse, sanitize sink appropriately.
  • Slice cheese and sausage according to specification.
  • Bag/package cheese and curds according to specification.
  • Use scale to weigh and generate label for each bagged/packaged cheese item.
  • Apply appropriate label(s) to each cheese item package, which should include store logo, item name, ingredients, date, price per pound, weight, total price, and barcode.
  • Keep the kitchen stocked with all necessary items and ingredients.
  • Upon any interaction, greet all customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
  • Notify management of any kitchen issues or concerns.
  • Perform other related duties as requested, which may include stocking.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Previous experience: None
  • Reliable transportation
  • Able to lift minimum of 40lb
